Two other species of primates White-fronted Capuchin (Cebus albifrons) and red howler monkey (Alouatta seniculus) live in Caparo Forestry Reserve.
Also, other mammals like the jaguar (Panthera onca), the puma (Puma concolor), the ocelot (leopardus pardalis), the giant anteater (Myrmecophaga tridactyla), the southern anteater (Tamandua tetradactyla), the tapir (Tapirus terrestris), the kinkajou (Potos flavus), the neotropical otter (Lontra longicaudis), the crab-eating raccoon (Procyon cancrivorus), the hog-nosed skunk striped (Conepatus semistriatus), the peccari collared (Tayassu tajacu) and many others live this reserve.
248 different species of birds, 30 species of amphibians, 60 species of mammals have been reported. The number of insects have not been quantified yet.
